Buffy & Others

Pike
Buffy's boyfriend in LA, before she came to Sunnydale. They originally butted heads, coming from very different social groups, but when his friend Benny was killed, Pike helped Buffy defend the school dance and kill the vampire Lothos. In the Buffy Comic, Pike came to Sunnydale during the summer after Season Six and rescued Buffy and the gang from a demon fighting arena run by The Scourge.

Owen Thurman
Buffy was excited when this cute, sensitive guy became interested in her, and she defied Giles in order to date Owen. He was nearly killed by a vampire, but rather than be frightened away, he decided he wanted to live the life of danger with Buffy. In order to keep him from getting killed, Buffy broke up with Owen, despite her feelings for him.

Ford
Buffy had a huge crush on Billy Fordham in LA, but they were always just friends. He found out that she was the Slayer, though, and came to Sunnydale. Suffering from a brain tumor, he offered to give Buffy to Spike in exchange for eternal life as a vampire. Spike turned him, despite Buffy escaping, and Buffy had to stake Ford when he rose.

Scott Hope
When Buffy returned from LA after sending Angel to hell at the end of Season Two, Scott began flirting with her. Willow played the persistent matchmaker and encouraged Scott, hoping to prod Buffy to move on with her life. Scott made the mistake of giving Buffy a claddagh ring as a token of friendship, but the incident helped prompt Buffy to try and let go of the memory of Angel. She decided to give things with Scott a chance, but when she was constantly distressed and distracted after Angel's return, Scott broke up with her.

Parker
Early in Buffy's Freshman year in college, stinky Parker used her like a kleenex. He seduced her with a suave "sensitive guy" routine, convincing her to take a chance and sleep with him. Of course, with his conquest conquered, he moved on to other pursuits, leaving Buffy deeply hurt. She desperately wondered what she did wrong, and it hurt Buffy deeply to see him flirting with other girls after casting her aside so casually. CaveSlayer got the last word, clubbing him over the head not once, but twice.

[Episodes: Living Conditions, The Harsh Light of Day, Fear Itself, Beer Bad]

Ben
Ben was a great comfort during Joyce's illness, running interference between Buffy and the overwhelming physicians, offering reassurance and encouragement. After Riley left, Buffy asked him for coffee but then decided instead to go it alone for a while.
