Spike & Harmony

Harmony was bitten by a vampire and killed during the Mayor's ascension at Sunnydale High's graduation. The identity of her Sire is unknown - as is how on earth she and Spike ever wound up together - but when Spike returned to Sunnydale in seach of the Gem of Amara, his new girlfriend was with him. Clearly, she was Spike's rebound after Dru. Harmony was crazy about her "Blondie Bear", but Spike seemed to barely tolerate her presence, interested in no more from her than idle companionship and casual sex. In fact, when he suspected she was wearing the gem he sought, he didn't hesitate to stake her to test his theory. She was in fact wearing it, so the attack left her unharmed, but Spike's dismissal of her broke her little vampire heart.

After The Initiative chipped Spike, he turned to Harmony, but when she saw he didn't care for her any more than he used to, she threw him out and burned his things. Months later, they ran into each other again. Harmony tried to kill the Slayer but naturally failed. She was terrified that Buffy was out for revenge, but the Slayer barely gave her a second thought. Still, Harmony sought refuge with Spike. She said she'd do anything if he'd just let her stay. That "anything" turned out to be sex and lots of it, which Harmony didn't mind a bit. She carried on blithely, unaware that Spike was using her as a substitute for Buffy. Then Drusilla returned. Spike found himself caught between the woman who rescued him from mediocrity and the Slayer who made him want to be a better man, forgetting that he theoretically already had a girlfriend. Harmony didn't appreciate the lack of consideration and tried to take matters into her own hands. She shot him with a crossbow, but the bolt missed his heart. The two fought as Drusilla attacked Buffy. Seeing Buffy in danger, Spike cast Harmony aside to save the Slayer. Harmony took a stand - carrying herself with all the dignity possible from someone who'd been used and dumped, not just once but twice - and stomped out of Spike's life for good. At least, that was the plan... (^_-)
